This mini self-service course will explore this ambitious statement, and introduce much-overlooked practical essentials of market mechanics (how buying and selling really works with the market and broker), and teach basic scripting as an important self-empowerment tool to be self-informed. Here's the challenge:
- The price often scans back and forth over the same tiny range (e.g. 1.00001 to 1.00002). So can we buy and sell quickly to grab a 1 cent profit?
- This tiny move sounds fast and safe, yet those who forget the basics of market/broker mechanics will be in for an unexpected ride. What hidden factors aren't you being told? What calculations should we handle?
- Managing moves accurately can be challenging; even making one or two calculations in our heads on-the-fly can daunt us and distract us from trying to see the big picture. Learning to script empowers us to find answers. We'll walk through coding a tool to help lift the load on fine-grained operations in our analysis. With its help, we'll have the head-space to see the big picture, and finally find an answer to our original challenge question.
This is a paid mini-course that's suitable for beginner to mid level technical and casual explorers with some coding experience in any language. It contains a practical component where we'll together code an MT4 tool to empower our exploration.
The course will be delivered through casual interactive text (reading) and self-guided exercises, and is great for inspiration, fun, and getting an intro to scripting in MQL4 in order to check a real hypothesis.
Note: This course is focussed on self-empowerment through scripting, and it's suitable for developers learning industry business logic for coding. This course does not teach financial day-trading techniques or how to make money.
